Nvidia Launched Titan Xp
Last month we got to see NVIDIA launch their top of the line graphics card known as the GTX 1080Ti. Which was mainly focused on gaming at high resolutions like 4K.
That it was able to deliver in most of the current AAA game titles. GTX 1080Ti is basically a cut down version of the Titan X Pascal. But it didn’t felt that way because the graphics card was able to outperform its master. Which is something we never saw on a Ti card compared to its TITAN rival. Where the biggest advantage that the GTX 1080Ti held was in price to performance ratio.
Which being at a fraction of the cost, outperformed the TITAN X Pascal graphics card. This sure might have caused a lot of commotion from the NVIDIA fans. Because now there was no reason of justifying such a huge cost of the TITAN X Pascal. In order to counter that NVIDIA recently launched an updated version of their TITAN graphics card known as TITAN Xp. Which is said to be around 10% faster than the GTX 1080Ti at its stock performance. Helping the TITAN branding gain back its crown. Source: If you don’t know the new TITAN Xp comes with the same GP102 used on both the GTX 1080Ti and the later TITAN X Pascal.
But this time around it’s the whole deal. Where the new GP102 die can operate at its full potential without any compromise. In terms of specs the new TITAN Xp comes with 3840 processing units and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM. The new Titan Xp runs at a boost clock of 1582MHz. Which can be overclocked manually to break the 12 Teraflops performance barrier.

Where we have seen the new Titan Xp already achieving more than 15 Teraflops of processing power. TITAN graphics card is only sold by NVIDIA in the market and same is the case with the new TITAN Xp. Where the TITAN series are mostly aimed towards content creators, VR development and other research work. Reason being why it’s sold at a premium price. Though Titan Xp is the fastest graphics card currently available on the market. But if you are someone who is into gaming. Then the best that NVIDIA has to offer is their GTX 1080Ti.
Which costs less and is able to deliver the performance that is required for 4k gaming.
Nvidia has pulled a surprise out of the bag today by launching a new top-end Titan graphics card. The new is said to offer 'irresponsible amounts of performance,' and has been made available immediately. This monster $1,200 graphics card (limit 2 per customer) features 3,840 CUDA cores which boost to 1,582MHz, plus 12GB of GDDR5X memory, offering 547.7GB/s of bandwidth. Nvidia an overall compute performance figure of '12 TFLOPs of brute force' for the new card, compared to 11 TFLOPS for its predecessor. Looking through the rest of the card specs and comparing them, the only other difference between the Titan X and the new Titan Xp is that the new card has dropped the Dual Link-DVI connector from the standard array of video connectors offered.
